  1. FOURTH FORUM MEETING, WORKING PARTY MEETINGS, WORKSHOPS AND SEMINARS - SEPTEMBER 1997
    • 1.1 Forum and Working Party meetings.
      We would like to inform members on the dates for the Forum and Working Party meetings and workshops/seminars. Please note that the date of the Workshop on Implementation of OIML Recommendation 76 (non-automatic weighing instruments) is 1 - 3 October (not 3 - 5 October).
      The dates for the meetings/workshops are given below:

      22 - 23 Sept Workshop/Seminar on Introduction to High Capacity Flowmeters
      24 Sept Factory Tour (Flowmeters)
      24 - 26 Sept Workshop/Seminar on Legislation & Administration
      27 Sept Working Party meeting on Utility meters, Pre-packed articles and Mutual recognition arrangements
      29 - 30 Sept Fourth APLMF meeting
      1 - 3 October Training Workshop on Implementation of OIML Recommendation 76 (non-automatic weighing instruments)
      A detailed schedule of the APLMF meetings, prepared by the ATPC (APLMF Tsukuba Preparatory Committee) is attached.
    • 1.2 Draft agenda for the Forum Meeting
      A draft agenda for the Forum is enclosed with this Circular. If you have any additions/amendments to make, please advise the Secretariat.
    • 1.3 Draft agenda for the Working Party meeting
      A draft agenda for the Working Party meeting is also enclosed.
      The agenda is for meetings of the Working Parties on Utility meters, Prepacked Articles and Mutual recognition arrangements.
    • 1.4 Workshops/Seminars
    • 1.4.1 Workshop/Seminar on Introduction to High Capacity Flowmeters
    • 1.4.2 Workshop/Seminar on Legislation and Administration

      The preparation for the above workshops/seminars is well under way. A brochure on the workshops will be circulated with the next Circular.
    • 1.5 Information Package on APLMF meeting in Tsukuba and hotel bookings As mentioned in Circular 12, the ATPC has prepared an Information Package on hotel accommodation, transport arrangements, maps etc. and this is enclosed with this circular.
      For those members who have indicated the number of delegates attending, the number of copies of the package is enclosed.
      Members are requested to note the requirements for hotel reservation, ie. that hotels are to be booked through the ATPC using the attached Hotel Reservation Forms. Please note that the latest date for confirmation of hotel booking is 1 July.
      A brochure on Tsukuba Science City is also enclosed for your information.
  2. HANDBOOK OF LEGAL METROLOGY IN THE ASIA-PACIFIC, 1997

    We would like to remind members to send in the up-dated information to be included in the Handbook of Legal Metrology to the Secretariat as soon as possible, preferably by 30 June 1997.
