• For the 10th APLMF and WGs Meetings on November 2-4, 2003, at the Kyoto International Congress Center (KICH), Kyoto, Japan, please complete the registration, hotel booking, and visa assistance request as soon as possible.
• All documents for the 10th APLMF and WGs Meetings and the APLMF Symposium must be sent to the Secretariat (e.sec@aplmf.org) by October 3, 2003.
• Program & agenda of the 10th APLMF and WGs Meetings and the tentative program of the APLMF Symposium can be now downloaded from the Forum Meetings and reports page of the website.

• The Train-the-Trainer Course for the Verification of Fuel Dispenser was successfully held on August 4-9, 2003 in the Hanoi Hotel, Hanoi, Vietnam. Many thanks to: STAMEQ, the host, and NSC, the organizer, and all participants from APLMF member economies.
• Dr. Matsumoto, Executive Secretary, attends the NCSL International 2003 Workshop & Symposium on August 17-21, 2003 in Tampa, Florida.
• Dr. Ooiwa, President, attends the APEC Sub-committee on Standards and Conformance (APEC SCSC) and its related meetings on August 14-16, 2003 in Phuket, Thailand.
• The registration deadline for the 10th APLMF and WGs meetings and APLMF symposium is approaching: August 31, 2003.

• APLMF President attended the APEC SCSC (Sub-Committee on Standards and Conformance) second meeting on May 22-25 at Khon Kaen, Thailand to propose a fund for the APLMF training course in legal metrology.
• APLMF secretariats are planning to visit Kyoto in the end of May to look for a place for the APLMF reception in the International Legal Meetings Kyoto 2003.
• APLMF Directory of Legal Metrology in the Asia Pacific (2003) will be sent to the member economies in the end of May.
• Report of the 9th APLMF meeting in Vietnam (Nov. 2002) will also be sent to the member economies in the end of May.
• The Survey on Goods Packed by Measure was sent to member economies to be completed and returned to the Chairperson of the WG on Goods Packed by Measure by June 30, 2003.

• Changes in the Secretariat staff - On April 1, 2003, Mr. Tsuyoshi MATSUMOTO newly joined the APLMF Secretariat as the executive secretary.
• The 2nd draft report of the 9th APLMF and WGs Meetings was sent to member economies for inputs.
• The APLMF List of Contacts for Goods Packed by Measure was sent to member economies to be updated by May 30, 2003.
• The Survey on Non-Invasive Sphygmomanometers was sent to member economies to be completed and returned to the Chairperson of the WG on Medical Measurements by May 31, 2003.

• Results of the Survey on the Election of the President and the Secretariat were sent to member economies.

• The OIML website has created the Kyoto pages (http://www.oiml.org/kyoto2003/) introducing the city of Kyoto, the venue and schedule of the CIML Meeting, the APLMF Meeting, APLMF Seminar, and ACCSQ/LM Meeting in November 2003, and much more.

• APLMF President attended the APEC SCSC 1st meeting on February 12-21, 2003, in Chiang Rai, Thailand.
• APLMF Circular 41 was published.
• Invoices for the APLMF membership fees were sent to full member economies.
• Survey on the events in the APLMF member economies was sent to all member economies.
• Draft report of the 9th APLMF and WGs Meetings was circulated to member economies.
