December
  • "Survey on Training Program for 2005 and the future" is prepared by the secretariat and the Working Group on Training Coordination. One reply from each economy is expected. Please submit your answer sheet to the APLMF secretariat by JANUARY 15, 2005.
  • Invoices for the APLMF membership fees will be sent to full member economies within this month (December 2004)
  • Greeting Card 2004 will be delivered to all the member economies.
November
  • The APEC/APLMF: Train the Trainer Course on the Verification of Non-Automatic Weighing Instruments (NAWI) was held on November 8-12, in Shanghai, PR China. Thank to the AQSIQ, the host and the organizer of the course. The details and the reports will be uploaded in due course.
October
  • The 11th APLMF Meeting and WGs Meeting were held with success from Oct. 6 through 8 at the Hacienda Hotel, Old Town, San Diego. (Total participants 56) Thank to the host & the organizer, and all the participants of the meeting.
  • The APLMF Circular 46 was published and shipped to each economy.
  • The 11th APLMF Meeting Documents have been posted on the following web-page;

September
  • The Meeting materials (presentation script & country report) were closed on September 10.
  • The hotel reservation at the hotel Hacienda was made in due date (Sep.5th) for the participants as per requests.

Concerning the Training Course
  • Training on OIML Recommendation R87 was held with success from July 28 to 30, in Malaysia. (Participants count 38) Thank to the SIRIM, the host & the organizer, and also all the participants on the course.
  • The APEC/APLMF Seminar on Automated Sphygmomanometer was held in Taipei with success from August 30 to September 3. (Participants count 33) Thank to the host & organizer, and also all participants on the course.
General Information
The name of the member organization at Australia is changed from "National Standards Commission" to "National Measurement Institute" as of July 1st. Also the executive committee (APLMF) of Australia is taken over by Dr. Grahame Harvey.
The APLMF secretary has been taken over by Ms. Naoko Tobari as of August 13th 2004.
JULY
  • APLMF Circular 45 will be published in July.
  • We have announced an invitation of "the APEC/APLMF Seminar on Automated Sphygmomanometers scheduled on August 30 - September 3, 2004, at the Howard International House in Taipei, Chinese Taipei. The registration deadline is August 2, 2004.
JUNE
  • We have announced an invitation of "Training on OIML Recommendation R87" held on July 28-30, 2004 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The registration deadline is July 5, 2004.
  • Report of the Tenth Meeting of the APLMF (Nov 3-4, 2003, Kyoto, Japan) has been sent to the member economies.
  • The registration deadline for the 11th APLMF and WGs meetings is approaching: July 31, 2004.
MAY
  • We have announced an invitation of the 11th APLMF Meeting and WGs Meetings held on October 6-8, 2004 by e-mail. Program agenda,invitation letter, and registration form of the 11th APLMF and WGs Meetings can be now downloaded from the Forum Meetings and Reports page of the website.
  • The Contact Person of Republic of Korea has been changed to Mr. Yoo Tae JUN, Director, Metrology and Measurement Division, KATS.
  • The Survey on Clinical Electrical Thermometers was sent to member economies to be completed and returned to the Chairperson of the WG on Medical Measurements by June 30, 2004.
APRIL
  • Report on the APLMF Symposium on Traceability in Legal Metrology (Oct 30-31, 2003, Kyoto, Japan) has been published.
  • The Director General of NMIJ/AIST has been taken over by Dr. Mitsuru Tanaka from April 1st 2004.
  • The APLMF secretary has been taken over by Ms. Akiko Watanabe from April 2nd 2004.
MARCH
  • APLMF Circular 44 will be published in March.
  • Report on the APLMF Symposium on Traceability in Legal Metrology (Oct 30-31, 2003, Kyoto, Japan) will be published in March.
  • The 3rd draft report of the 10th APLMF Meeting will be sent to member economies. (Due date for amendments: March 5, 2004)
  • A calendar of "Events in APLMF Member Economies 2004-2005" will be uploaded on the website.
FEBRUARY
  • The 2nd draft report of the 10th APLMF Meeting was sent to member economies. (Due date for amendments: February 20, 2004)
  • APLMF President attended the APEC Sub-Committee on Standards and Conformance (SCSC) 1st Meeting on February 26-27, 2004 in Santiago, Chile.
  • Survey on events in member economies for 2004-2005 was sent to member economies.(Due date: February 29, 2004)
JANUARY
  • Invoices for the APLMF membership fees were sent to full member economies(Jan 27, 2004)
  • Draft report of the 10th APLMF Meeting was uploaded on the website. (Jan 20, 2004)
  • Circular 43 was uploaded on the Circulars page. (Jan 5, 2004)
