Introducing the OIML Digitalisation Task Group (DTG)
​by Dr Sascha EICHSTAEDT, Chair of DTG / Head of Dept. 9.4 (Digital Infrastructures), PTB, Germany 
The new OIML digitalisation task group (DTG) has been founded based on the decision by the 56th CIML 2021. It is motivated by the Joint Statement of Intent, which states the intention of all major bodies of the scientific and quality infrastructure to collaborate in the digital transformation. The OIML DTG has had its kick-off in May 2022 and immediately began with concrete action items, definition of sub-committees and work plan. The talk will briefly introduce the DTG, the initial work items and next steps.

APMP Updates

This report contains general information and latest activities in addition to updates from the last APMP General Assembly. APMP is a group consisting of 45 Full and 14 Associate Member Institutes and has 12 Technical Committees, 6 Focus Groups and Developing Economies Committee to improve the metrological capability in the Asia-Pacific region. Today, digitalization is a world-wide trend and is expected to improve our quality of life. Taking this into account, a new Focus Group on Digital Transformation was approved to be established during APMP General Assembly last year and started their activities. In addition, the organization structure, programs, and some other events to engage APMP members and stakeholders more actively are introduced.

Updates on the MEDEA-APMP-APLMF Web Portal

The WG co-convenors will present an update on the Asia Pacific Metrology web portal. The objective of the web portal is to raise awareness of metrology (MEDEA-APMP-APLMF joint project) and improve the sharing of information resources between member economies to enable them to increase awareness of the importance of metrology for consumers, industries, regulators and governments. The working group has been working on developing the portal and encourages members to share useful information including case studies for other members and public stakeholders.
