1. Meeting venue, location map and transportation
This year’s meetings venue is Hennan Resort Alona Beach located in Tawala, Panglao Island, Bohol Province, the Philippines. The Hennan Resort Alona Beach is a five-star hotel. Check out the venue location here.
Bohol is an island province of the Philippines located in the Central Visayas region, consisting of the island itself and 75 minor surrounding islands. Its capital is Tagbilaran. With a land area of 4,821 km² and a coastline 261 km long, Bohol is the tenth largest island of the Philippines.
Bohol is a first-class province divided into 3 congressional districts, comprising one component city and 47 municipalities. The province is a popular tourist destination with its beaches and resorts.
Flights from Outside of the Philippines to Bohol
Bohol is currently only connected to domestic destinations. If you’re coming from outside of the Philippines, you will have to fly to Manila Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Airport. The NAIA is connected to several international destinations in North East and Southeast Asia, Middle East, Oceania, North America, and Europe.
From the Manila Ninoy Aquino International Airport, you can fly directly to the New Bohol International Airport in Panglao Island, Bohol.
Flights from the NAIA to the Bohol Province
The Bohol-Panglao International Airport services the whole Bohol Province. This airport opened last November 2018. It replaced the old airport that used to be in Tagbilaran City, the capital of Bohol Province. The Bohol-Panglao Airport is dubbed as the “Green Gateway to the World” and the first eco-airport in the Philippines because of its environment-friendly equipment and facilities.
You may want to book your accommodations in Panglao island itself or start your Bohol adventure in the tourist spots in Panglao for your convenience. If you book a hotel in Tagbilaran, there is a regular air-conditioned bus from the airport to Island City Mall in Tagbilaran City.

- The official monetary unit in the Philippines is Philippine peso (PHP).
- The exchange rate can be found at Bangko Sentral NG Pilipinas website. Currency exchange is available at the airport, hotels, and banks.
- US dollar is also accepted at hotels, restaurants and shops. Most hotels, travel agencies and restaurants accept major credit cards. Most banks are equipped to process credit card cash withdrawals.
- The the carrying of foreign currency in excess of USD 10,000 or its equivalent in other foreign currencies must be declared to a Customs Officer.

- The temperature in Bohol varies very little throughout the year. However, Bohol experiences significant variations in monthly rainfall. The wet season starts from June to November, with June and October receiving the most rain.
Language:
- The two official languages of the Philippines are Filipino and English. Dialects used by locals in Bohol are Cebuano and Tagalog. English is used in hotels, restaurants and shopping centers. Most taxi drivers speak some English. It is recommended that you write down the address of your destination.
