April’s quarterly OIML Bulletin includes a case study on a ‘Conformance assessment of electrical energy meters investigated by risk analysis’ along with articles on ‘Portable test equipment for residential utility meters’ and ‘The impact of the use of OIML R 137 ultrasonic gas meters of class 0.5 in the hydrocarbon industry’. The UK legal metrology bodies provide an overview of a recent ‘project on milk measurement processes from farm to dairy’ and continuing with OIML’s bulletin feature, history of scales provides ‘Part 18: Automatic checkweighers (ACWs) in accordance with OIML R 51’. As always there is a list of Basic and MAA certificates that were registered between this issue and the previous one; and finally an update on the recent meeting of the TC6 statistical committee in Brazil. The purpose of this meeting was to resolve the statistical issues with R87 raised at the CIML meeting to ensure it can be used for enforcement of the accuracies of measurements made under legal metrology legislation. |
